In South Carolina, they have a huge homeschool community. There are thousands of families teaching their children at home and coming together for extracurricular activities. One popular opportunity available to homeschool children is competitive sports. The Lowcountry Wildcats participate in many sports just like regular elementary, junior high, and high schools. These teams bring homeschool children together under a volunteer coaching staff, allowing them to play against other homeschool teams, private, public, and magnet schools. The Lowcountry Wildcats are part of the Low Country Christian Homeschool Athletic Association, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
